One lovely January afternoon last year, Josiah’s Catering’s very own Boyet and Jet Versoza celebrated their 30th anniversary with a beautiful affirmation wedding at One Esplanade. The celebration was attended by loved ones, friends from the wedding industry, and people who have witnessed up close God’s faithfulness in the love story of our dear Versoza couple.
This grand celebration was featured on a two-page spread in the most recent Issue of Wedding Essentials, April-June 2014. We’re so excited about this! To be featured in the pages of Wedding Essentials is quite an honor. And we find it our joy to be an inspiration to soon-to-be married couples who find themselves holding a Wedding Essentials magazine in their hands.
Their Dream Wedding
My parents didn’t get to have a big wedding when they got married in 1982. Theirs was a simple gathering of a handful family members and friends, but to them, it was still one of the best days of their life together.
And now, 30 years later, after having catered to hundreds of beautiful weddings, they wished to have their dream wedding come true too. And dream come true, it was.
My Mom picked a classic theme of pearls and laces, white floral arrangements and vintage elements that somehow took us all back to the yesteryears.
Guests were treated to a sumptuous 9-course dinner, while a live orchestra serenaded them with 80s music and classic ballads that the couples loved in their younger years.
Finally, they gave away Bibles as souvenirs, as a symbol of the very thing that kept their marriage together (God’s Word), and as their way of giving back all the glory to Him who is The Author and Giver of love.
It was a beautiful night, a milestone indeed for my Mom and Dad, for our family, and for all of us who have, in one way or another, become recipients of God’s love for them and their love for one another.
The Wedding Essentials wrote a beautiful retelling of my parents’ 30th wedding anniversary, so hurry and grab hold of a copy now!
Erratum: We mistakenly informed WE’s editorial team that it was the Versoza’s 25th wedding anniversary. It was, in fact, their 30th. The fault is ours. Much thanks, again, to Wedding Essentials, for the beautiful writeup.
