Real Weddings: Clero & Jessa’s Nature-Inspired Spring Wedding

Pastor Clero & Jessa are very close to the Josiah family. Pastor Clero, in fact, is one of the pastors of the church that Josiah’s Catering supports, which is also our family’s home church, Sampaloc Bible Christian Community. So when these two started planning their wedding, the whole Versoza family was closely involved in the preparations.

Clero & Jessa Wedding

Pastor Clero & Jessa are both nature-lovers, so when it came to deciding the theme and the motif of their wedding, the couple easily wanted a nature-inspired wedding. And since the venue has to be in Manila where most of their friends and family are, we had to bring nature to One Esplanade’s bare function hall and grounds.

We brought nature-inspired design elements into the place, starting with a wooden backdrop that almost resembled an oak tree; a green carpet instead of the usual red one, as if the entourage was marching on green grass; and angel’s breaths that lined up the aisle like wildflowers.

On the day of the wedding, the bride was radiant in her breath-taking Edward Teng gown, and fully made up by MUA Imelyn Sanchez. Her bridesmaids, meanwhile, wore coral and yellow dresses that represent beautiful colors of spring.

The groom was ravishing also in his Edward Teng suit.

The couple’s wedding rings are courtesy of Matus Jewellery. And, true to their love of nature, the couple gave away miniature plants as souvenirs.

The reception area was decorated with more intricate “outdoor” details, while tables are adorn with elegant floral arrangements in pastel colors.

To cap the night, Clero and Jessa’s beloved guests were treated to a sumptuous spread of Josiah’s delicious signature dishes, a DIY s’mores buffet, and a dessert bar with some of our best-selling miniature cakes and pastries.

Weddings like this

A wedding like this is not possible without the labor of love of friends and suppliers who worked together to make Clero & Jessa’s dream wedding come true. The couple posted a heart-warming message on their Facebook wall, thanking the Lord for the blessings and the love that surrounded them on their wedding day.

The message goes:

“In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.” (Joshua 4:6, 7 NIV)

[pullquote width=”300″ float=”left”]I didn’t know how we can have her dream wedding come true yet the Lord demonstrated His faithfulness in us! God has displayed His greatness in our lives for the people to see that it’s Him who’s working, that it’s Him Who did all those things to us. What a privilege! Glory to God in the highest![/pullquote]

The Lord used many signs and wonders even before how He worked in us. This wedding is also a sign for both of us how much God has blessed us. Great is the Lord and worthy to be praised!

I praise God for all of you who helped us. I thank God everytime I remember you and I can’t stop to speak and declare blessings in every aspect of your life!

I praise God for those people who really inspire us with their lives testimonies; as our friends, mentors, advisers. It motivates us and really helps us in this stage of our life.

I can never thank the Lord enough. I can also not thank you enough. I pray that you too would see with your very own eyes, how the Lord would give back to you everything that you’ve done for us, with hundredfolds in return!”

We are still over the moon about our dear friends’ beautiful wedding, and we are so blessed to have been part of their God-authored love story. Truly, a testament of God’s faithfulness and His promise that He shall bless the desires of our hearts when we follow and obey His will, and that He makes all things beautiful in His time.

To Pastor Clero and Jessa Matocinos, we love you, and we pray that you will continue to place the Lord first in your marriage, in your service, and in your life!
