Real Weddings: Gilbert & Isabel’s Vintage Travel Themed Wedding
You meet new people and learn a lot of things from your first job. But for Gilbert and Isa, what they gained from their first jobs is so much more. Fresh out of college and eager to start their careers, Gilbert and Isa found themselves in the same company and became instant friends.
Later on, even after Isa left her first job to pursue a different opportunity, their friendship continued to grow. I suppose absence truly makes the heart grow fonder, because it was when Isa left the company that Gilbert began to develop feelings for her. It didn’t take so long until Isa realized that she had feelings for him too.
“What we love about our relationship is that we can talk and act like friends because we started as friends. It may sound cliché, but we are happy to have found and married our best friend,” Isa said. And so, on February 2014, Gilbert and Isa got married in a beautiful vintage travel-themed wedding at Santuario De San Jose, followed by a reception at Oasis Manila.
Travel and vintage have been trending themes in weddings and events lately, which lends itself well to Gilbert and Isa’s personalities as they both love to travel. Months of preparations and planning resulted to a beautiful setup made of vintage travel suitcases, clocks, paper planes, paper windmills, luggage tags, and other travel icons like miniature Eiffel towers, messages in bottles, wooden planes and ships. Dainty floral arrangement in pastel colors completed the look.
And of course, the Josiah Experience is not complete without a buffet of delicious dishes served for Gilber & Isa’s guests. “They say that the food in special events like weddings is one of the most important parts,” Isa said. “We are very thankful for Josiah’s Catering because of the very good service, for accommodating our requests, good food and simple but elegant setting.”
Very satisfied by her experience with Josiah’s as well as with all of their suppliers, Isa said, “Their event consultant, Happy Javier helped us from the start up to our last minute needs. We would also like to thank all our suppliers who have worked hand in hand for our very special day.”
Asked what advise to give future brides out there, they replied, “Wedding preparations will surely take most of your time and require patience but just enjoy it! It is just the start of your decision-making as partners. Be sure to pick the right supplier that best suit the both of you.”
Thank you, Gilbert and Isa for your kind words. We’re honored that you chose us to be one of your suppliers and we wish you more joy and blessings in your life together.
