Real Weddings: Ian & Pat’s Love Story that’s Made for the Movies, & their Extraordinary Wedding

  • by

Hey hey, this is one love story you don’t want to miss.

Pat

Ian

Ten years ago, our bride Pat was studying in UST and Ian, her groom, in FEU. UST and FEU being right in the same neighborhood, these two could have met anywhere within the vicinity of the University belt. But the connection actually happened one ordinary day riding the LRT where Pat saw Ian stand out from a sea of commuters. Young and adventurous, Pat stalked this mystery guy to the FX station, and later on, by some twist of fate, found him on Friendster. Determined to meet the guy, Pat learned about common friend connections, got his phone number, and started sending him wrong text messages to get his attention. He replied and, well, here we are now talking about their wedding ten years later. :)

The story is pretty much summed up in this fun chalk-board timeline that welcomed the guests on their wedding day:

Their graphic design business, Paper Thread Studio, is their own supplier for their Wedding Invitation and Souvenirs. They DIYed everything, making sure that their personality shines through every detail of the wedding. From the Invitations, souvenirs, boutonnieres, paper flowers, gold heart pinata, gold dinosaurs, table numbers, typography posters (love quotes and love story board), unity coin box, ring box, cake toppers, wooden signage, kiddie table set up.. you name it.

Vatel Manila provided the flowers for the entourage, and Josiah’s Catering provided the floral centerpieces, reception setup, and of course the food. We always love collaborating with creative minds, and this couple is no exception.

Pat and Ian’s wedding is a proof that if you have the willpower and the talent to DIY your wedding, then by all means go for it! It’s up to you to make your wedding day completely YOU and the preparations can be a truly enjoyable process for you and your groom.

Thanks Pat and Ian for sharing your love story with us, and for letting us witness such an extraordinary wedding. God bless!
