Real Weddings: Lloyd and Jessica Went to Bible School and Found True Love

Lloyd and Jessica met in a bible school in Doha Qatar. When people enter bible school, they don’t normally assume to find romantic love there, right? For Lloyd and Jessica, their desire to know God more through deeper study of His Word ultimately brought them together.

“Our love story began when we started going out for coffee with our friends. The friendship grew as well as the feelings, until he asked if he could court me. Knowing very well our age gap, him being 5 years younger than me, I asked him, did you pray for it brother? For him to prove that he is serious, I let him court me in our house in Dukhan, which is a 1-hour drive from Doha. So he did. His honesty and faith in God plus the sweetness he shows to his mother draw me near to him. After 3 months of earnest courting, he became my boyfriend.”

Lloyd asked Jessica to marry him on his birthday. Jessica came to what she thought was Lloyd’s surprise birthday party, only to realize that she stepped in her very own engagement party! Instead of a birthday cake, Jessica was presented a tiffany-box inspired cake with the words, “will you marry me?” In front of Lloyd’s family, friends, and church mates, Jessica said YES to Lloyd’s proposal, and the rest, as they say, is history.

They planned the wedding for a year, right after the proposal. Booking the venue and the caterer was their first priority, alongside with setting the date and time of the wedding. After the booking was done, they hired a wedding coordinator since both of them were working abroad. They saw Ley Reinares from Creative Styling by JBL on the television and contacted them right away. For 6 months, their only means of communication was thru Viber or Facetime, and Ley helped them find suppliers remotely.

Convinced by the “astounding testimonies” from friends and family, Jessica and Lloyd were encouraged to make Josiah’s Catering their personal choice.

“Our experience with Josiah’s was truly magnificent. The entire crew knew what they were doing, there wass no traffic during the buffet, the guests were properly guided in the buffet table and the VIP guests were served accordingly. We all heard positive feedback from our guests, especially for the food! Even after the wedding day, we still receive messages from our guests regarding how sumptuous the meal was. Our personal favorite was the Chicken Teriyaki and the Mongolian Station.”

“Josiah’s Catering excelled also in preparing the centerpieces, from the guests’ table, VIP table, and to the Bride & Groom’s table. Kudos!” Thank you for the kind words, Jessica and Lloyd! It was our privilege to be of service to you.

Asked what advise they can give to future brides and grooms, they said,

Our advice to those who will be getting married is to pray for it. Let God direct you to your plans especially in managing your finances because through God, nothing is impossible.

Amen!

Thank you Lloyd and Jessica for sharing your story. We have loved being part of this special milestone in your life! God bless your marriage always.
