You can tell a lot of things about a couple by the color motif and theme they pick for their wedding. For 7 days we’re featuring some beautiful color palettes that we hope will inspire you, soon-to-weds, in choosing the colors you want to surround yourself with on your wedding day. Today is Day 6.
Vintage or retro themes and motifs have been quite a trend this 2014. For the vintage feel, rustic hues and tones are the way to go, making your wedding setup look like clips from an old reel of film. The good thing is, you can use whatever color combination you like, and simply tone down the brightness of the colors a little to make it look vintage-y.
This color combination lends itself well to a playful and laid back theme, (like in this case, a vintage carnival), and would play well with handmade details such as chalk boards, ferris wheel, and paper rosettes. You remember these details from Jerome and Valerie’s wedding?
Funky and oozing with personality, yes? :)
How about you? What colors do you want to surround yourself with on your wedding day?
This is part of a 7-day series on wedding motifs. You can find the entire series here.
