Wedding Motif: Spunky Technicolor (4/7)

purplepinkblue

You can tell a lot of things about a couple by the color motif and theme they pick for their wedding. For 7 days, we’re featuring some beautiful color palettes that we hope will inspire you, soon-to-weds, in choosing the colors you want to surround yourself with on your wedding day.

Let’s try spunky technicolor.

A warning: This is not for the faint-hearted. Only the brave can pull off a color palette that has a wide range of seemingly-random colors like this one. Not many soon-to-weds would put pink and purple AND orange together, but once in a while we meet couples whose personality (and love story!) are as bubbly and colorful and playful and bright as the colors they picked.

You like hot pink and purple? Easy. You want blue also? Sure, let’s add that to the mix. Maybe light pink as base? Game. How about charcoal Black? Great! Can we add some orange? Okaaayy, let’s do it.

How to pull this off: Just throw in all the colors you love! No really. Don’t hesitate. Use all of them. Don’t bother with complementing colors or whatnot. It’s your wedding after all, and it’s up to you to make it uniquely YOU.

We’ve blogged about Pat & Ian’s wedding here before (it’s right here, if you want to read)—such a fun couple to work with! We have loved the pretty little details and the dedication of these two to DIY practically the whole wedding setup, which made our jobs so much easier! Check it out:

Pretty awesome huh? And those hand-drawn invitations and Lego boutonnieres? Epic. Photography by Nicolai Melicor, grabbed from Bride & Breakfast.

How about you? What colors do you want to surround yourself with on your wedding day?
